Fripp Island Resort is a resort 36-hole golf facility located in Fripp Island South Carolina. The facility has two 18-hole golf courses. They are, The Ocean Creek Course and The Ocean Point Course.
Ocean Point Golf Links was the first of the two courses at Fripp Island Resort. This oceanfront course opened in 1964. The course was designed by George Cobb.
This traditional links-style layout is found on the northern most point of Fripp Island and features several holes that are situated directly on the Atlantic Ocean and the Fripp Inlet. The majestic views on the 9th, 10th, 14th, 15th, 16th, and 18th, holes will rival any in golf.
Ocean Point has well-bunkered, small greens that place a premium on accurate iron play. When you play Ocean Point Golf Links on a breezy day, you will gain a new appreciation of how mother nature can add an additional component to the course.
Par for Ocean Point Golf Links is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 6,556 yards. From the forward tees the course measures `4,908 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 4, a par-5 that plays to 500 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 11, a par-3 that plays to 177 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 8, a 425 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Ocean Point Golf Links is # 10, a 352 yard par-4.

This course has a lot of great holes, with challenges on almost all holes. The two ocean holes are great, and the ocean views from many of the holes make the course a special place, not just another cut through the woods.

The greens and fairways are in exceptional shape. Rough is short but very thick. Great challenge for all levels of play.

Another great layout and having an ocean view on about six (6) holes, really finishes off a great day on the course. Another great Fripp Island / G. Cobb layout but having houses lining some fairways takes away from the other great holes. Conditions are just plan fantastic from Tee to smaller size greens and the hazards (water) seem to be everywhere and we found them. The wind seems to swirl and then blow depending where you're standing causing club selection problems. The views on holes #9 / #18 will stay with you forever. Played the Blues 6,556yds / 72.4/132 and Shot 43/44 w/ 34putts and son Barry, well he got his moneys worth. Great yardage markings on sprinkler heads and with yardage book, help with distances wherever you are. Where else do you get the chance to hit a ball into the Atlantic Ocean by accident or on purpose?? Must play both of these Fripp Island courses if you're in the area, you won't be disappointed.
